BUILD WITH THE CATALOG

Find useful apps from your assistant.

Search, look up and compare public listings through a free, read-only MCP pilot.

Free pilot, clear limits

Verified accounts get 100 requests per day and 1,000 per calendar month, shared across all keys, with a 30-request minute limit. Search returns at most 24 apps per page; comparisons contain at most three. Each accepted read uses one request, including cached results and missing app IDs.

Create up to three keys. Keys expire after 90 days and can be revoked at any time. There are no charges or automatic upgrades during this pilot.

Website discovery remains free. Higher-volume commercial access and bulk feeds are planned; pricing and availability have not been set.

Connect an MCP client

This pilot runs a local MCP process that calls our authenticated catalog API. Install dependencies in an App-it-eyes source checkout, set your client’s working directory to that checkout, and use node --import tsx /absolute/path/to/App-it-eyes/scripts/catalog-mcp.ts as its command and arguments.

Set APPITEYES_CATALOG_ORIGIN to this site’s HTTPS origin and APPITEYES_CATALOG_KEY to your key in the client’s environment settings. Tools are search_apps, get_app and compare_apps.

The HTTP API is GET /api/developer/catalog, authenticated with Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY. Search accepts q, page, limit, category, platform, pricing, releasedOnly and sort. Use ids=app-id,other-id alone for lookup or comparison. A quota response includes Retry-After.

Access policy

Effective for this pilot: September 10, 2026. Commercial integrations and competing products may use this service within their access limits. Fees, when introduced, will pay for managed access, search, freshness and service capacity.

Access limits govern requests to our service. They do not remove rights granted by an underlying content license. Where material is identified as CC BY-SA 3.0, commercial reuse and redistribution remain permitted subject to that license, including attribution and ShareAlike where applicable.

The catalog has no blanket content license. Product names, logos and third-party text retain their applicable rights; a public source URL is not itself permission to relicense its content. Future bulk exports will include their attribution and licensing manifest.
